THE DESCENDANTS OF CONRAD KNATZ (BORN 1868, NEW YORK CITY)

In July 2020, Diane Taylor updated her research on the Conrad Knatz family and that information is shown below:

Conrad Knatz, the 4th child of August and Anna Apollonia Trillich Knatz, was born in New York City on August 13, 1868.
In the 1870 census, completed on June 19, Conrad is not with his parents and brothers in the 18th Ward of New York City. There is a 12 year old male with a name beginning with C but the name is not clear for this boy who attends school. Is it possible that this is really Conrad and he wrote in the wrong age? If this is really a 12 year old boy, where are two year old Conrad and three year old Catherine?

On June 12, 1880 Conrad is 10 years old and living with his parents and 6 brothers at 366 East 10th Street.  His father is a baker and older brothers John, 17 and Jacob 14 are working.

On September 7, 1890, Conrad married Anna Marie Eberhardt in Manhattan.

Anna Marie Eberhardt was born on May 9, 1870 in New York City.  She joined her parents Christian and Christina Doebler Eberhardt and four year old sister Elizabeth.  Christian was a cigar/segar maker and he and his wife were born in Germany.  Christina died in 1884 and Christian in 1917.  Both are buried in Lutheran Cemetery.  I will tell the rest of Christian and Christina Doebler Eberhardt’s story elsewhere.
